We got spirit how about you? The North Mason High school cheerleaders put together a mini cheer camp. The girls were so excited to go to cheer practice for two days then cheer during the varsity football game and perform their dance during half time. I was a proud mama watching them out on the field. They did Awesome!! Jack was done about 30 minutes into the game and wanted to go home. He didn't care about no stink'n cheerleaders he was tired and cold. Papa kept him warm and he was able to tough it out until after half time.

Hoh Rainforest and Ruby Beach

The last part of the summer we took a camping trip to the coast and to the Hoh Rainforest. Its was a bit foggy on the beach but it was so beautiful. Ruby beach is called that because the comming and going of the tide washes down rubies from the dirt off the coast and you can find them on the beach. We did not find any because we found all of this out after we had already left. Oh well, next time. The next day we went to the rainforest and camped. We hiked a couple of trails and looked at all the moss on all the trees. It was a real fairy land and we decided that this is were all the fairies live.

Last week my uncle was in town, he came over and saw our chickens and informed us that one was laying eggs already. I wasn't so convinced since we hadn't seen any eggs yet, but since he hatches his own eggs and raises his own chickens I thought well maybe I won't argue with him. The next morning I went to let the chickens out like I always do. They roam all day on our property eating all the yummy bugs. As I walked up the path to their coop I saw a wonderful sight, a little brown egg right in my way, it must of been laid right before we tucked them in the night before. We were so excited. So all day I kept checking outside on the path, in their coop, around their coop and all over the yard. It was like Easter for 4 days I was on the hunt, and nothing!
The Internet said each hen would lay 1 egg every 24 hours so where were all my eggs? We decided to build a big fence to keep them in a manageable area and it worked we found 3 eggs yesterday. This morning before church I let the chickens out into their new pen and went inside to finish getting ready. Not more than 15 minutes later I look outside and one(Daisy) is out, so out I go to track her down. I hear her softly clucking in some bushes. I dig through and see a shiny white egg and then right behind it I see a brown egg. Then I see Daisy sitting under the bush, I pick her up and under her were 14 eggs, yes 14! So now we know where all our eggs have been hiding. After church we fixed the "holes" in the pen and clipped their wings so hopefully in the days to come we won't be hunting for any more eggs, we will just be gathering.

For crisp air in the morning, for yummy blackberries on the bushes(everywhere), for sweatshirts, hot cocoa, early mornings, sack lunches, and for SCHOOL. The girls were not as excited about school as I was but they are enjoying it as I knew they would.
Brooke is in 4th grade, loves Taylor swift, cowgirl clothes, soccer, is very much a momma's girl, always has a messy room, is overly cautious about everything, takes such good care of her brother, is growing up so fast and she is so B-utiful.

Emily is in 2nd grade, boy crazy, loud, full of energy, has the funniest most contagious laugh, and is the comedian of the family not to mention she too is B-utiful.She has another boy teacher this year but is OK with it since her teacher is really young and really cute! Heaven help us!

In June we took the girls out of school two days early to head down to New Mexico for my sister's wedding. She married Cody Wilkins on June 19th in Colorado and it was Beautiful.

Then it was home to celebrate Brooke's birthday(which was the same day my sister got married) She had some friends over and we had a little party. I cannot believe she is 10 years old and going to be in the 4th grade-it blows me away-.

Farmers?

Three kids, two dogs, two hamsters, one cat and eight chickens! Oh my. We have added eight chickens to our family. The kids got chickens for Easter this year and we are all so excited to have fresh eggs in 4 months. We wanted 4 or 5 chicks but the "farmer" informed us that a couple might die off the first few days. So not wanting to have only 2 or 3 left I bought eight in hopes for 5, well we must be suited for the chicken raising business because all eight are alive and thriving.

Anyone need eggs? We will be loaded.

Brooke asked the other day if having chickens made us farmers? Sometimes I feel like I wake up at 5am and work all day then go to bed at 10pm just to start all over again the next day, so "yes" we must be farmers.
Not only of animals but of children.

Last night Sam and I dropped the kids off at our great friends house so we could go out on a date for my birthday. We went to "uptown" Gig Harbor and had some yummy Thai food. We had never had Thai food before but we liked it especially the crispy squid with sweet and sour sauce-YUM-. Then after stuffing ourselves we headed to Ben and Jerry's ice cream. It was a nice night just the two of us - we need that more often. He even gave up watching the playoff game just for me, ahhh. He loves me. Even though it was on at the restaurant - you should of seen him grin!

When I look in my back yard this is what I see. Trees, trees, and more trees. We had three trees that were a little too close to the house for Sam's comfort. Sam has been cutting down trees all over our property since we have moved in, in July, but these. If one of these trees went the wrong way it would be the end of our house as we know it. I like my house. So us doing it ourselves was not really an option. Our neighbor on the other hand is a professional lumberjack -Yeah us-. So today Mr. lumberjack came to our house and took those pesky trees down. It was so awesome to see him cut them down he made it look so easy. "TIMBER" I yelled in my head as each one fell down. The loud cracking and swooshing of the tree as they fell is the best sound, I was in awe.

my new neighbors

I am so excited to be getting new neighbors. Over Christmas my parents bought a house 15 minutes away from me. They sold their ranch in Texas and have decided to move to be closer to grand kids, and me:) Never in my life did I think I would be living in Washington and now my parents, will someone pinch me because I cannot believe it.

Soccer

We finally got the girls to join a soccer team. They were hesitant about doing any sports since they played t-ball 2 years ago. They were the only girls on the team and had to wear boy uniforms-yuck-. They are so girly. So they were so excited to find out they were on all girl teams. Brooke is on the Red Rubies and Emily is on the Thunder Bugs. They LOVE it.

Yesterday was Sam's birthday!! He is now 33 years old. We went to the zoo yesterday morning and saw all the animals then went to lunch. We had Waite tacos for dinner as requested by Sam. Peanut butter icing yellow cake for dessert as requested by Sam, I have never made him anything else it is a tradition, that's what his mom made him too. It was a very nice -laid back day. We love and appreciate him so much words cannot explain. He is officially the most LOVED man in the world. Brooke got a funny picture of him hitting himself in the chest with Jacked sword. He is going to hate that I posted it but how could I not.

First Day of School

Summer is Officially over. School has finally started. Every day this summer the girls would wake up get there own breakfast-get their brother breakfast and let me sleep, it was delightful! This morning I rolled out of bed at 7:30 and woke the girls up and realized I had no juice boxes or fruit for their lunches. Thankfully Sam was still home and I ran to the store while they ate breakfast. It was foggy and there was a crisp chill in the air, I loved it. It is almost Fall and the weather is starting to get a little rainy. The girls were excited yet a little nervous. They both have BOY teachers this year. Brooke was fine with the idea as long as he wasn't OLD or had long hair. Luckily for her he is neither. Emily's teacher is Fun. He is crazy and loud and reminds me of a grownup "surfer dude". As we walked away from there school on our way to the car Jack just kept asking Emme-Book (Emily Brooke) all morning he was so clingy and weepy. He is taking it hard. Mommy is boring. I'm OK with that. I hope the girls love their new school and hope they have a great year. Brooke is now in 3rd grade. Emily is now in 1st.

Nana's and Papa's Texas Style

Over the 4th of July weekend while Sam was climbing MT. Rainier I whisked the kids away for some good ol' Texas fun at my parents house. My parents now live in Texas as some of you might know and they have a little ranch were they are raising cattle oh and one donkey who is about to have a baby. We flew into Austin on a Wednesday and were supposed to meet my sister and her family but they got delayed until the next day. Walking into the airport to meet them might be a normal task for the normal person but my mom likes to shake things up a bit and decided to face plant herself off the curb and breaks her foot. So begins the Craziness of the week, well maybe the craziness started when Melissa was delayed in the Durango airport for 10 hours unable to leave!! The next morning we all left for San Antonio to brave the summer heat and mass amounts of people at SEAWORLD!! The day was Hot, but full of fun. The kids enjoyed them selves but were ready to leave before we even saw Shamu that's how hot and tired they all were. The hotel swimming pool sounded much more exciting to them. After a 3 hour drive to Bryan were my parents live we finally were able to relax and go see the Ranch. My parents have completely fixed up and gutted the ranch of all the unwanted trees weeds and put up a beautiful fence and a HUGE barn. Not to mention the new toy my Dad got, his tractor!! Oh and my mom's new toy a red 4 wheeler to match my dad's tractor. Early in the morning we would go out and feed the cattle and of course give the kids 4 wheeler rides. Brooke really impressed me normally she is the princess not wanting to get dirty but around the ranch she got the buckets filled them up went to the feeding area and called the cows and fed them even with her hands, she was in her element. One evening it was me in the middle of Brooke who was in the front and my niece aspen in the back on the 4 wheeler. As I was explaining the gears and brakes Brooke grabbed the gas button and we all flipped backwards. Thankfully it did not land on us , but little aspen was under all of us and got draged a good 2 feet. I thought I killed her! Seeing her laying there-horrible- That kid had a baseball size knot behind her ear and she told me that night that she cannot forgive me:( I'm just happy she was OK.
That was the end of the Craziness thank goodness.

Medieval Fun

Port Gamble is the cutest (I would go as far as saying its the perfect)little town. If anyone is a fan of Gilmore Girls you'll know what I mean when I say it looks like Stars Hallow only smaller. A waist high white picked fence runs through the entire town with a beautiful church and grass filled yards that are always manicured. An old country store that sells the best homemade pistachio ice cream sits on the edge of the bay with a small road lined with antique stores in the front. On the weekends the town host events of all kinds and one weekend some friends invited us to go to the medieval fair. We parked in a dirt lot about 1/2 mile from town and walked along a tree lined path to the fair.

Port Defiance Zoo

There is a nice little zoo about 45 minutes from our house that everyone talked about so one day I packed up the kids and off we went. They had a wonderful Kids Zone with jungle gyms for the kids to play on the same designs that the real monkeys use. All the animals were friendly and came right up to the glass or fence it was great the kids could see everything close up. It's not big it's the perfect size where we can go and spend a couple of hours and still come home for Jacks nap and have a normal day.

The In -Laws

In the beginning of August Sam's parents flew up for a week and we had alot of fun. I am so glad they were able to come and see where we live and we were able to show them some of the scenery around here. We went to the Crab Pot on the water in downtown Seattle ( my favorite).
We took a trip to Hurricane Ridge it's a 3 hour drive into the Olympic mountains on top of the world. It was so beautiful and the deer in the parking lot were so used to people one walked right up to Brooke. We took them to Point no Point and sat on the beach and watched the sail boats sail by and the tug boats hauling loads of who knows what slowly make there way across the water. We saw a spider crab and Brooke dug a whole up to her waist while Sam, Jack and Emily played soccer. Sam's dad helped he put up his shed which is a major task. They worked hard one day clearing out trees, brush, bushes, and winding roots covering the ground just so they could place the frame that the shed would sit on. Albert is 73 and works like a horse!! Sam said seeing his dad work made him feel like a softy and he had to keep up with his dad. Ladawn, Jack and I stayed home one night and watched girly movies while Sam took the girls and his dad to a Mariners game, they had a great time. The girls ranted and raved, not about the game, but about the big snow cones. We truly enjoyed having them here and cannot wait until they can come back.

Zions Park

A couple weeks ago we gathered all of our camping things and headed out on a "before school starts" camping trip with some friends. Living here in Washington is quite different when it comes to camping - compared to living in New Mexico. We only drove 20 minutes to the camp and it was still in the same town, weird. We decided to go to the church campground and we had a ton of FUN. As we drove into the camp the kids saw Messiah's Meadow and that was the end of that. It is a huge field of big swings and when I say big I mean big Sam and I can both fit on one. Tire swings, three story tree house, ropes course back in the woods, Bucket swings, net to climb on, etc. Sam was in his element on the ropes course, there was a tire suspended 4 feet in the air and the goal was to lift everyone on your team through the tire. The kids loved being sent through and when it came to Sam he told us he was going to run,dive, and tuck and roll!! What?? We didn't believe him, he couldn't he would break his neck. The ground is hard and rocky to be rolling on that's even if he makes it though the tire. Well to all of our surprise he did it and it was amazing. Brooke's face was priceless, it was of complete horror and boy was she relived to see her dad had survived. Our camp was only down the road so we spent the first whole day and well into the early night there. After a night of sleeping or lack of sleeping on my rocky bed we ate a yummy campfire breakfast and headed down to the lake. With fishing gear, life vest, oars and three kids in tow we loaded into the canoe, such a sight, Sam in the front three kids in the middle screaming at every push of the canoe in to the water and more screaming when I stepped into the canoe. Little did they realize if we tipped there they would only be in a couple inches of water. With every turn of Emily's head from left to right the boat would tip and the girls would scream. Soon after we were on our way we decided that a canoe is not a 5 family member friendly vessel, we will stick to a row boat next time. It is official JACK our amazing 2 year old is potty trained and I mean fully!! No diapers all day and no diapers at night. One day last week he just decided and we haven't looked back since!! All I can say is that I am soooo proud of him and amazed at how easy it was I mean really I did nothing it was all him!!! YEAH!!

Yesterday Sam and a friend climbed to camp Mier (base camp) on Mt. Rainer. He has been so excited to do this and can't wait until the forth of July when him and some other guys from our ward are climbing to the top. It took the guys 5 hours to reach the camp and when they climb to the top they will sleep at camp for a couple of hours then at midnight will wake up and climb the rest of the 8 hours to the top. It is really hard do to the elevation and Sam said even at the half way he could really tell a difference in breathing. Here are some of the pictures he took.

We have a new house!! It has been a long process to get to this point. Our lease is up on the house we are renting on June 30th and we really didn't want to rent anymore, the house is great and the kids love going to the beach all the time but it's not ours. We started looking in March and found one the was great on 2 acres and 4 bedrooms but it was a short sale and they said it would take 45-60 days to hear from the banks if they had accepted our offer but we had time so we went ahead with it and we were so excited about it. Well 60 days went by and they said it could take up to 12 more weeks!!! WHAT? So we decided to look again and I am glad we did because we found a beautiful 4 bedroom on a little over an acre that we love!! It had been way out of our price range when we searched earlier but they lowered the price a couple of days before we started looking again, YEAH!! It needs landscaping but we loved it more than the first house so we made an offer and we will close on June 22nd. We cannot wait!

I just want everyone to know how amazing my Mom is!! She is always there for me and my sister no matter what we might need, she is a shoulder to cry on even if it's over the phone:) She is the first person I call when something exciting happens or if something not so good is going on. She is ever giving of her time, money, and self. She is the one who tells me how to make beans in the pressure cooker and reassures me it will not explode:) I love my mom and all she is and all she does. Not only is she the best Mom she is also my Best friend!! I love you, Mom.

Anyone who knows my Mother-n-law knows I am a very lucky girl. This wonderful lady has broke the mold in the mother-n-law department. Sorry ladies I got the best!! I am so grateful to her for raising the most wonderful son. She has the best sense of humor and is truly a gift from above. I am so happy she is my Friend.

It's been awhile since I last posted and I'm not sure why? I'm always reading about everyone on their blogs but I never post on mine so I'm copying a friend (Deborah) and I'm going to try and post everyday for a month straight!! The girls just finished up with their second session of swimming and are getting really good, after this next session they can start little piranhas which is a little swim team. They are loving it as am I it is just craziness on Tuesdays and Thursdays nights and we are all running around trying to get dinner and people ready for bed and with homework and all the mayhem!! Jack is growing big and still not caring about the whole talking thing. I don't know what is about our kids they have always rolled over really early, sat up between 4 and 5 months and walked at 10 months but talking nope not interested until about 3 ugh!! He is into the whole hitting his sisters now and thinks it is hilarious especially when they go running and screaming away from him. Boys are so different!
We found a house we liked and put an offer in on it, the sellers accepted our offer but it is a short sale and the banks still have to look over some things we should know soon if we get it. It is in Seabeck, WA about 30 minutes from where we live know. I love it it's blue and has 4 bedrooms(YEAH) my girls won't have to share anymore and my life will be a little less dramatic. It has 2.3 acres and a big stream in the far back with fish in it, which makes me excited the only thing is the name if the steam is BIG BEEF STREAM come on how gross is that BIG BEEF? We might have to think of something else, it does make me smile every time I say it though. Sam is still loving his job, he gets to work on submarines all day and all the fun things that go along with them. Sam and a friend from our ward are going to climb Mt. Rainer in June and he is so excited about that I'm a little jealous but lets face it I would never make it up that thing alive.
My parents came down over the girls spring break and it was really great to have them here. My mom and I went on a murder mystery dinner cruise around the Seattle harbor, we really had a good time. While they were here they bought me a sewing machine and let me tell ya I love it. I am on this twirly skirt kick. I have never really used a sewing machine before but man it is addicting, I want to thank Kacy for posting the twirly skirt on her blog and telling me where it get the pattern because I am having so much fun. My girls are going to end up with so many skirts!! Well I guess that is all for know, man now I have to think of something to post tomorrow:(

A Decade!!

Tomorrow is Our ten year wedding anniversary!! TEN!! I cannot believe it, it has gone by so fast. I was talking to my friend the other day on the phone and he asked if I ever thought I would be married for 10 years? I mean really 10 years sounds like a long time, but it has gone by so fast. I think of "older" people and how they have been married for 50 years and they have grand kids or great grand kids and we have already knock off ten of those 50 years like it was nothing. I feel like I'm going to just wake up one day and look over at my husband and realize our lives have just passed us by. This makes me sad because I love my life and my husband more than anything in this world and I don't want any of it to go by without me soaking it all in. I am very grateful for him and all he does for me and our family, I could have never guessed I would end up being the luckiest person in the world, I won the LOVE LOTTERY!!hehe So here is to the next ten years and the many decades to come!!

Point No Point

Yesterday we decided to get out of the house and do something as a family. We have all been sick since Christmas and we couldn't take being stuck in the house an longer. We didn't want to be gone too long so we went to a place called Point no Point light house about 20 minutes from our house. It was really neat. A little light house from the 1880's stood there on the end of the "point" of the beach so ships could see it. The beaches here are pretty much all pebbles and rocks so it was a nice surprise to have sand beneath our feet. Here are some pictures of the morning, It was freezing!!!

Randomness and Resolutions

Happy late New Year to everyone! Just a quick catch up on things, we had my parents here for Christmas break and it was soooo nice to see them and hang out. We had Christmas a day late because my parents weren't able to make it in until Christmas night so Santa stopped at our house last. We went to The Summit and took the girls snowboarding and skiing, well Emily skied because she was not old enough to try snowboarding but they did awesome!! They had ski school in the morning then we took them up the mountain in the afternoon they both really amazed us. When I get the pictures from my moms camera I will post some pics of that day.
I'm going to try to be so good this year with my resolutions and posting them might make me keep in line. ok so here they are.
1. Do NOT spend money!!!!
2. Be Patient with my kids!!!
3. Do NOT eat out, cook more!!
4. of course everyone puts this LOSE WEIGHT, Mainly just be more healthy and exercise after my knee gets fixed:(
5. Get organized and throw out junk!!
6. Learn how to use my photo shop Sam got me for Christmas
7. Take more pictures of myself and learn to not be so judgmental of them.
Those are just a few, I have many more but I won't bore you.

Let it SnOw let it sNoW let it SNOW!!

NOT!!! So we are officially snowed in! We cannot make it up our road to the main road which is all snow packed and covered with ice and 6 inches of snow. We went yesterday before the second storm came to get tire chains for our van but every where is sold out until Tuesday a lot of good that does us. We are just hanging out enjoying the snow falling and praying the power does not go out, apparently it goes out alot for days on end,YEAH. again with the joking!! My parents are coming in from Houston tomorrow and the news just said they might close the Seattle airport YIKES even if my parents get to Seattle they then have to get a taxi or bus to take them to the Ferry then they have to take the ferry over to Bainbridge Island and then we have to figure out how to get them to my house 10 minutes away, doesn't sound far but the taxis and buses are not running as of now and everyone is snowed in. If only I had a boat then I could just get them from Seattle myself and they could have front door service to my house no roads necessary. If only? I'll post pics tomorrow of our snowman we made today it is taller than our swing set. The kids are loving this weather the street next to us has a long somewhat steep hill and all the kids and grown-ups hang out there and have a blast so if Sam's worker bus that picks him up for work isn't running we are going to take the kids for their first sledding experience. I took pictures of Emily the other day. She is turning 6 on the 23rd and wanted to take some pictures of just her, plus I needed some for Christmas presents. She is growing up so fast and is soo funny she is always saying the craziest things that make me laugh. What you can't see in these photos is she is carrying around my phone because a boy at school was supposed to call her(give me a break she is 5) going on 16. We love her just the same boy crazy and all.

When it rains it POURS!!

What a week, well couple of weeks, Sam went to Everett for a job for 17 days which wasn't so bad he caught a ferry home on the weekends. He got home the day before Thanksgiving and he leaves again on Monday the 1st until the 19th, he is going to San Diego for 3 weeks which stinks because we won't be able to see him at all. Our pellet stove broke ( the main source of heat for our house) The upstairs toilet had to be removed and unplugged because it kept over flowing which wasn't cheap$$$, Our hot water heater went out 3 days ago and they have to order a special size, so we all stink;) My sister called and is divorcing her husband, so that whole thing has been sad and I haven't cried everyday for a week straight in a long time. My heart aches for my sweet sister and her 2 kids, I feel extremely sad for my brother-n-law for what he is losing, and for my ever giving parents who do so much and give so freely of their time, money and love. I am truly Blessed to have them in my life and to be so close to them. Hang in there things will look up soon. The next couple of days can only get better, right?

Ok just got back from a girls night out to see the movie and all I have to say is "are you kidding me???" I am so disappointed on so many levels I felt like I was watching a lame after school special on the hallmark channel!!!!! I need to go read the book again to redeem the whole "Twlight" image I used to have in my head. UGH.

Things have been a little busy around here lately. I've been playing vollyball with the church girls, Taking Jack to play dates,planning for the monthly Bunko night at my house, and one of my best friends got married this last weekend so I went to Denver for that. It was so great to see all of the boys again Jim, mark, chad, sky, kris And of course Brian was the guest of honor . Brian got married to a beautiful girl named Kathleen and they are adorable together. When they send me pictures of the wedding I will post a couple. It is so great to see good friends again, especially when the last time I saw most of the was at Sky's wedding 3 years ago, but when we get together it seems like we always pick up right where we left off. Oh and Jim if your reading this we are waiting for you to come!!! Here are some pics that are a little old but they are cute.

Nothing new is happening here we have been busy with kids in school, homework and everyday life. Sam turned 32 on the 7th (Happy Birthday Honey!!) Whave found a babysitter and have been able to go on two dates YEAH! I got a major flat tire today, I drove the girls up to the main road to catch the bus because they were running late and on the way back I noticed it was flat. Good thing I was at home and not somewhere else and wouldn't have been able to get home. So I have been changing a stubborn tire and since I was all gross from that I decided to tackle the inside grossness of your car that still needed to be cleaned from our camping trip last weekend, Oh yeah we went camping, I forgot! I guess I post pics of that. Anyway I have a clean car and as soon as Sam gets home we are going to get brand new tires on the van, we really needed them so now we have no choice but to just go and get them. Maybe tomorrow will be less crazy. I think i'll just do laundry. ;)

I read Breaking Dawn when it came out and even though I had mixed feelings about it, I still loved it. So when my life started to get back to normal, by that I mean not thinking of Edward and Bella all day (I know pathetic but true), but when it seemed I was normal again my sister n law called me and told me that Stephenie Meyers new book that she is not even done with yet had been illegally posted on the internet. So to keep her fans honest she went ahead and posted it on her website, so I pondered it for a moment weither or not I should read it beacuse it is only 264 pages and the rest is still to be determined, she is not sure if she is even going to finish it now, but how can I not read it!! It''s all Edwards thoughts and let me just tell you it was so great, by far my favorite, even though it stops before she is even half way through. So if you love the books like I do go read it. Yes you'll be sad that you can't continue to read more but at least it keeps you on the Edward and Bella High!!!

I am completely in shock right now. I just found out that a good friend from high school is having an affair. It really makes me so sad and I find myself asking Isn't marriage sacred to anyone anymore? What the HECK? I never thought that this person in a billion years would even think of doing this, I mean come on think of your spouse and your little baby? I really hope they have learned thier lesson and realize what they gave up for that other person, who happens to also be married, UGH people these days why even bother getting married????

So this is what happens when my cute little boy is eating all by himself at the table and I am engrossed in Rachel Rays TV show. Jack was supposed to be eating his lunch (beans) but instead decided to play hair salon and give himself a shampoo!! I looked over at him and he had his head in the bowl, he popped up and ran his hands through his hair. He thought it was pretty funny well so did I so of course I was cracking up!!

On another note Brooke had her first Achievement day Girls activity tonight and had so much fun. Their are 16 little girls and 10 are her age, it was so neat to see her with girls her age all giggling and having fun!! I wish I had my camera but of course I wasn't thinking as usual and forgot it. She met her new BESTEST friend ever (emma) and is so excited to have her over to the house soon, I'm so happy for her to have good church friends she can interact with I know in my life it made a great impact!! Thanks for being my friends Janell and Deborah you guys were great influences in high school:).

Jacks new thing today was wearing my rain boots!! He loved the thought of them and wanted to wear them all day, but he could never get real far in them he would just fall and get upset. So he just stood there and smiled at his feet. He cracked me up just looking at him I could not help but laugh the boots went all the way up to his diaper. The girls are really into fishing now ( yeah!! which makes me super excited to have fishing partners!!) The salmon are comming up the bay towards the hatchery and are jumping all day it looks like the water is boiling sometimes. Some of those fish are so huge when they come out of the water we get so excited!! We get our poles and sit on our stairs and hope to catch one, But it always seems no matter how far we cast the pole they are always out of reach. Hopefully one of these post will have a picture of our big catch, but until then I'll just post a picture of the girls in back on the stairs fishing, they are so cute with thier HUGE poles.

We went on our first family excursion on Saturday to a place called Marymere falls it is a little past a place called Port Angeles and for any of you who love TWILIGHT as much as I do you'll know how excited I was granted it was no FORKS but still close enough to have me looking for Edwards silver Volvo!!:) Oh but never fear Forks is my next adventure. We finally made It!!!

Well we are finally here at our new home it seems like forever in the making. Sorry I haven't posted in like a month but things have been really busy. Everything is moved in and we finally got our internet back on so now I can POST!!! The girls are loving their new house and have met the neighbor kids and play with them everyday. They climb trees run through the forest in the front yard and go to the beach in the back yard. Emily's favorite thing to do is look for crabs under the rocks when the tide is down, she thinks they are so funny. Sam started his new job on Monday it is just training stuff now but he thinks he is going to like it. The Ship on the top side is dry docked and is an air craft carrier which Sam will be working on, not this one exactly but one like it. Sorry the pics are out of order but i'm posting a picture taken from the beach which is so beautiful especially when the sun is setting. Our winding driveway I really love,like I'm in a Hanzel and Gretel story when I drive down it. I'll post more later when I get more pics, I hate to post without a picture.

A Beautiful Thing....

Living in these little, and I mean little student houses we never really needed a big nice vacuum. The floors are the old high school tiles, the kind they have in the cafeteria. We had a couple of area rugs so just a little puny vacuum would work. Well we have 2 puny vacuums and they both died!! So since we are moving to a house with 3 stories of carpet we decided to get a fancy vacuum (yeah)!! We got it in the mail the day we were doing some deep cleaning and if your like me anything new in the cleaning department makes me want to clean more!! My kids even got into it, that alone is a rare, but beautiful thing. Brooke vacuumed the rugs and Emily and Jack helped clean out the fridge. After a couple of hours of scrubbing they were so tired Emily even fell asleep. Sam got home that evening and started to take down our shed to get it ready for the movers ( they won't take anything down so we have to do it ourselves). Under the floor boards was a horrible moving carpet of cockroaches seriously they could have carried Sam off if he got to close. The one I took a picture of wasn't even close to being the biggest, I just wasn't going to go chase the "big" one down for the sake of a little picture.

Yesterday was Brooke's birthday she is the BIG 8 . Man I can't believe I have an 8 year old!! She was so excited she wanted a beach theme party, but not much room in student housing backyards to really do anything great so she settled for friends and the trampoline with the sprinklers under it. She had a good time. What she really wanted was to go to Carlsbad Caverns one last time before we moved, So today bright and early, I should say dark and early 5:30 we were up and off to the caves. They are really amazing!! We walked down the natural entrance instead of taking the elevator down and let me tell ya it is so much neater. Before we even got to the opening of the cave Emily was ready to go hoe and every 15 minutes after that she let us know how she felt, she is a very verbal child!! It took an hour and a half to walk in then another hour or so to go through the cave, needless to say they were ready to go HOME. Jack loved the fact that his little voice was so loud he would not be quiet and kept singing, man it echoed. We had a really great day as a family.

Last Sunday Sam came home from church ( I was sick) and was so excited about the father son camp out this weekend. So yesterday he packed everything up all the essentials for camping like sleeping bags, ice chest, tent, chairs food then he had the blankie, pacifiers, a bottle, sippy cups, diapers, wipes ( all the essentials!!) So with us girls left at home we gussied ourselves up and went to dinner at a "fancy" restaurant and had a yummy dinner like Ladies. I ordered calamari and had the girls try it without telling them what it was and of course they hated it, but when I told Emily what it was she made a horrible face and said I made her eat Squidward from Spongbob. After dinner we went and rented the Princess Diaries and went over to our friends house who's men folk were also away camping, and we did fake nails on the girls and painted fun toes, Lacey made smoothies and popcorn, the girls had so much fun I wish I had pictures but I sent the camera with Sam in hopes he takes some pictures of Jack and himself camping. Needless to say the girls and I had a fun night.

Emily started swimming lessons last week and absolutely loves it!! I figured since we will be living right on the water they should probably get their swimming up to par. Brooke is bummed because they did not have any classes for her age group until next week, but she will live she is counting down the days until its her turn. They won't allow any picture taking in the pool area so I had to take one of her before at the house. She is so stubborn about pics that I hardly have any of her.
